07 March 2007, 8:30 a.m., Saharsa:  The rally in Saharsa was organized by the local chapter of BBA along with Koshi Lok Manch and with the support of local voluntary organizations and ATSEC. Y. K. Gautam, Secretary ATSEC Bihar joined the March. The rally marched forward on the highway market chanting slogans and patriot songs claiming their rights of education, freedom, food etc. This rally of South Asian March against Child Trafficking covered a long distance sensitizing the local public of the Saharsa.

02:00 p.m:  The Chairperson, Global March, Kailash Satyarthi met with the judicial officers in the Khagaria District Court, Bihar. The Hon'ble District Magistrate joined the March marching alongside the children and announced that he not only officially but also personally will do his best to stop the exploitation and trafficking of the children. The March was welcomed by the local Non Government Organizations including SAMTA, Ganga-Koshi Bal Sewa Sansthan, Alp Sankhyak Utthan Avam Kalyan Samiti, Khagaria and others.

The representatives of the various organizations addressed the assembly in Khagaria including Prem Kumar Verma, Secretary SAMTA, Sanjay Prashad Yadav, Secretary, Ganga-Koshi Bal Sewa Sansthan and Mohammad Muslimuddin, Secretary, Alp Sankhyak Utthan Avam Kalyan Samiti.

04:00 p.m. - The biggest proof of the success of the campaign was witnessed in Begusarai when the shopkeepers employing children started removing the children and making them run away when they saw the March and the rally approaching.

The March reached Dinkar Bhawan, Begusarai, Bihar where a public meeting was held with a huge gathering. The meeting was started with the participation of local organizations including Bihar Gramin Jagrukta Abhiyan Samiti, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Begusarai and others.

The meeting was started by the local govt. officers. S. Gangwar (Yojna Padadhikari, Begusarai), Mr. Narender kumar (Information Officer), Mr. Amal Kishor Paswan from Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mufti Mohammad Khalid Hussain Quasmi, Nazim – ul – Talimat, Madara – e Badar ul islam, Maulana Shafiq Alam were present from religious institutions and they also welcomed the March.

Urmila Thakur a former Zilla Parishad Pramukh, Begusarai  started her address explaining about the problems of child labour and other forms of social evils prevalent in the cities and villages of the Bihar. She especially tried to bring in focus the attention Kailash Satyarthi on the Nithari Case and as to how the organs of children are being sold after trafficking and the local administration is silent on this heinous crime against children.

In the meeting, Maulana Shafiq Alam congratulated and encouraged the work of BBA and Kailash Satyarthi assuring that the people of Begusarai are present at every step with BBA and share the strong belief and value of sacrifice. Dr. Sanjay Bhardwaj from Bihar Gramin Jagrukta Abhiyan Samiti, Begusarai raised some of the effective issues in respect of victimization of children in pornography and health of the children.

Kailash Satyarthi addressed the assembly and strongly raised the issue that with respect to children, accountability must be fixed. He spelled out the demands of the March and strongly urged that People's Vigilance Committees must be made to abolish all forms of child exploitation and abuse. He also raised some of the points about the enactment and implementation of legislation, release and repatriation of children and others.
