A banker turned human rights activist, Deepika's journey from a volunteer to the Director at Global March has been purposeful and exciting. Over the last decade at Global March, she has led campaigns, communications, programs and operations. Currently she focuses her attention on regional and international partnership building and advocacy, engagement with the Global March network of CSOs around the world and the Board of Directors, along with ensuring robust financial health of the organisation. She is a passionate environmentalist at heart, trying to adopt a sustainable lifestyle each day while encouraging others to also do so. She has a master's in international business and bachelor's in economics.

Senior Director

Marco Dubbelt has been working towards addressing child labour, forced labour and gender inequalities in different settings and countries, with a focus on child labour in global supply chains. He has a law degree from the University of Maastricht with a special focus on international law. He is an active member of the Global Coordinating Group of the Alliance 8.7 and other international and national initiatives for eliminating child labour. He is also part of several multi-stakeholder initiatives on international responsible businesses. He wants to make a better connection between the efforts to eliminate child labour in global supply chains and the work at the grassroots

Originally from Colombia, currently based in the Netherlands and living/travelling some countries in-between, Angela has experienced first-hand realities that have nurtured her curiosity and commitment for social equality. This motivation has driven her almost a decade of professional experience, assisting and managing a diverse range of programmes and activities directed to promote (children’s & women’s) human rights from a participatory-community and gender approach. Currently, as Programme Manager and Gender Specialist at GMACL, she oversees projects and research, aligning different actors for the elimination of child labour; provides a gender and inclusive perspective in the internal and external work of the organisation; as well as facilitates liasoning with member and partner organisations, particularly with the Latin American region. Angela is curious about fusion of cultures, exploring new cuisines, dances and music.

Policy and Advocacy

Gazal is the Lead-Policy and Advocacy at Global March. She is also a Global Supply Chains Specialist and is particularly passionate about addressing the systemic inequalities that perpetuate child labour and forced labour. In her role at Global March, she works with different country partners to manage the implementation of child labour projects and advocacy efforts focused on agriculture sector towards improving economic condition of the farmers. She currently oversees projects in Uganda, The Philippines and Bangladesh and engages in advocacy work with international stakeholders to promote best practices for addressing child labour. At Global March, her vision is to be able to make a long-lasting impact in decolonising trade and sustainability towards a world free of child labour and social justice for the working class. She devotes her leisure time to cooking, writing and her feline friend Lamar.

An enthusiast in Sustainability, Padmaja's domain expertise lies in monitoring and evaluation to ensure that sustainability initiatives hit the bull's eye. Having worked across contemporary socio-economic issues, Padmaja has engaged with global brands and sustainability leaders with the objective of enhancing sustainability commitments throughout their supply chains. She wears the hat of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Coordinator at Global March. An ardent believer in equitable human rights, Padmaja enjoys being outdoors and indulging with her furry friends- Jackie and Simba.

A finance professional with close to 9 years of experience in the social and development sector, Amit's responsibility includes managing overall finance functions of the organization, conceptualizing and implementing financial planning, financial controls, maintenance and finalization of organisational accounts, statutory compliances, and financial monitoring. He has a keen interest in NGO Finance functions and joined Global March in 2022. Prior to that, He has worked with organisations such as CAF India, SLIC, and Chartered Accountant Firms. Amit holds a master's degree in finance, and he has also completed CA-Inter from the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India. Amit loves to watch movies and cricket.

A communication specialist with expertise in advocacy and strategic communication in the development sector. Currently working as the Communication Coordinator at Global March Against Child Labour, Aastha works on creating and executing communication strategies to raise awareness and combat child exploitation globally. She has collaborated with major organizations like WHO, UNAIDS, ITU, and UNESCO, focusing on stakeholder engagement, content creation, and digital marketing. Outside of work, Aastha enjoys watching films, reading books, listening to music and travelling.
