Expressing concern over the increasing problem of child trafficking and child labour in the country, Kailash Satyarthi, child rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner, said that by making children slave, the country never becomes a master.
Kailash Satyarthi was in the city on Friday to interact with the media at the Press Club, while he will be honoured with an honorary degree by President Pranab Mukherjee at the 64th Annual Convocation of Panjab University (PU) on March 13.
Satyarthi highlighted the proposals for the sustainable development goals for theupcoming year. He stated that child slavery should mandatorily get over and instead of employing children who should be in schools otherwise, adults should be employed.
