Born in Peru in 1950, Ana is Director General of CESIP that is a Peruvian NGO that works for the promotion and defense of the rights of the girls, children, adolescents and adult women.
Alongwith her position and responsibilities of being the Vice Chairperson of Global March Against Child Labour (Global March), she is also the coordinator for Global March in South America. Additionally she participates in different movements and initiatives related to children and adolescents like IBFAN (International Baby Food Action Network) which is an integral part of the Policy Committee of the network in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Ana Vásquez Gardini is an economist and educator.
