South Asia and Southeast Asia Regional Symposium on Promoting Area-based Approach to Eliminate Child Labour.
Global March in collaboration with Swatantra Abhiyan Network (SAN) and Work: No Child’s Business (WNCB) is organizing South Asia and Southeast Asian regional symposium on promoting the area-based approach to eliminate child labour. The event will bring together different stakeholders at the regional level to exchange experiences and challenges of the area-based approach and work together on improving and promoting it as a key tool to address child labour in various contexts. Through this event, we want to address more challenging root causes like the economic root causes of child labour and initiate discussions to generate a call-to-action document from CSOs towards Alliance 8.7 to advocate for the area-based approach. The event is part of the broader series, the first of which took place in Kampala, Uganda (June 2023) and the Latin American Regional Symposium is planned for June 2024 in Lima, Peru.
