‘The boy who marched against all odds’

New Delhi, 10 June 2014:  Rarely does one find a person who rises above all limitations to carve out a life that others can actually learn from.

Basu Rai, an orphan, a former child labourer and the youngest core marchers of Global March in 1998, he made an incredible contribution by writing a book “From the Streets of Kathmandu”. The book was launched in the capital in an event hosted by Global March Against Child Labour, its partner Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) and Vitasta Publishing at Constitution Club, New Delhi. This book has been published by Vitasta Publishing Pvt Ltd. The book launch was followed by a panel discussion, ‘Child Protection in India – The Way Ahead’
